PETITION – WE STAND TOGETHER FOR A FAIR COLLECTIVE LABOUR AGREEMENT

Dear Mr. Hendriks,

We, the fleet personnel, make our voices heard through this petition.

Structurally Falling Behind

In recent years, the wage development of seafarers has consistently lagged behind inflation. During the 2025 collective labour agreement negotiations, we explicitly asked for attention to this issue.

Given the current inflation, we believe that a wage increase of 3.5% is justified.

Deeply Felt And Broadly Supported

But what did we receive in return?

A predetermined offer of only 1%, fixed even before negotiations began. An offer that bears no relation to maintaining purchasing power, inflation, or recognition. An offer that does not do justice to our dedication, our flexibility, or our responsibility.

We feel unheard, unseen, and not taken seriously.

Call To Action

That is why we are now collectively drawing a clear line.

We demand a fair, respectful, and realistic CLA proposal—one that reflects our contribution and compensates for the purchasing power we have lost in recent years.

We stand determined and united.

We refuse to be dismissed.

We demonstrate that solidarity has strength.

Together for appreciation. Together for respect. Together for a fair CLA.

The seafarers therefore call on the management of Heerema to increase the wages of the seafarers in 2025 by an additional 2.5% on top of Heerema’s final offer of 1%, and to make concrete agreements for the coming years regarding at least the preservation of purchasing power.
